The Wilting Hydrangea Cure

Isn’t it the WORST when you buy beautiful, robust hydrangeas, only to bring them home, put them in water, and about two minutes later find them sad, wilted, and seemingly dead?! Uhhh! It’s so depressing! Well, between the brilliant suggestions from my sweet hubby, and sister, we found a cure! Here’s what you’ll need:

-Approximately 1/3 a cup of sugar (I just scooped out a handful)

-Water

-Scissors

-Mixing bowl

Pour water into mixing bowl, enough to be able to dip your hydrangea into.

Add a handful of sugar, and stir.

Submerse the head of the hydrangea into the sugar water.

Cut the super dry, dead leaves off, and end of the stem at an angle.

Put into vessel of fresh water.

It won’t happen immediately, but I did this in the evening, and woke up to this…

…super happy hydrangeas!

Thank you so much for stopping by! May your hydrangeas live long, happy lives! xoxoxo lr
