My style mantra is that “a home should be collected, not decorated.” One of the greatest things about vintage and antique pieces is versatility. Using an antique dough bowl for Paperwhite bulbs, a vintage milk can for flower arrangements, a crock to hold kitchen utensils. I also love how you can really play around with layering of different pieces! Below are some different ways I’ve styled using layers!
Here I put green, vintage shutters behind standing chandeliers, and just love how two completely different styles marry so beautifully! I chose to have some larger dough bowls lean against the framed fox, as well as a couple of antique cutting boards.
Using different heights, and textures turn a vintage metal basket into a fun, layered display!
I love layering signs and mirrors! It creates such a casual, farmhouse feel and still looks beautiful and romantic.
There are all kinds of layers going on here! A plant on the sofa, why not?! Be bold, and adventurous! Don’t be afraid to play around with things that you might initially think wouldn’t work together, you might be surprised! Thanks for stopping by loves!
